About this event

At the State of Colorado it is preferred that we use our own agreement templates when contracting with vendors. However, sometimes we have to attach a vendor's quote to a task order; other times, if our negotiating power is less, we have to use the vendor's agreement. Do you know what in the vendor's language the State can accept, and what are non-negotiable clauses?
This training seeks to inform or remind you of what must be redlined (taken as exceptions) in a vendor agreement.
Attendees can expect to learn not only the what, but the why behind the reasons that the State cannot accept certain language and must negotiate to remove it.
The training was developed from the perspective of the State Controller's Office, but any public entity is welcome to attend and compare the tenets to their own guidelines.
Jim Walker, Contracts Supervisor with the Governor's Office of Information Technology, is the presenter. He has over 20 years of public procurement experience and has worked at the federal, state, and local levels (including K-12).
After registration, you will receive a link for this virtual event. If you do not receive the link, please contact Trudi at pastpresident@rmgpa.org.
